Nikita Mndoyants

Nikita Mndoyants won First Prize at the Cleveland International Piano Competition in 2016, as well as First Prize at the Paderewski International Piano Competition in 2007.

As a composer, Mr. Mndoyants won First Prize at the Miaskovsky International Composition Competition (Moscow, Russia) in 2014, as well as at the Prokofiev International Composition Competition (Sochi, Russia) in 2016.

Mndoyants has collaborated with prestigious conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Leonard Slatkin, Vassily Sinaïsky, Hans Graf, Eri Klas, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Gianluca Marcianò, Bramwell Tovey, Alexander Liebreich, Alexander Sladkovsky, Alexander Rudin, Mario Venzago, Valentin Uryupin, and Konstantin Orbelyan, among others.

He has performed with orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra, the Svetlanov State Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Mariinsky Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra, the Gangnam Symphony Orchestra, and many others.

Nikita performs in the most prestigious venues, such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, the Mariinsky Concert Hall, the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Severance Hall in Cleveland, Salle Cortot and the Louvre Auditorium in Paris, Bozar (Brussels), the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Philharmonie du Luxembourg, the Robert Schumann Hall in Düsseldorf, the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Rudolfinum in Prague, the Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul, and many others.

He has participated in major festivals and concert series, including the Klavier-Ruhr Festival (Germany), the Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdroj (Poland), the Mariinsky International Piano Festival (Saint Petersburg), the International Keyboard Institute and Festival (New York), the Brevard Music Festival (USA), the International Piano Series in Fribourg (Switzerland), the Gilmore Keyboard Festival (USA), and the InClassica Festival (United Arab Emirates).

Mr. Mndoyants has also been artist-in-residence at the Wissembourg International Music Festival (France) since 2012, where he has presented his own compositions and performed works for solo piano, chamber music, and concertos. Having given his first chamber music concert with the Borodin Quartet in 2004, he has continued to pursue chamber music with passion, collaborating with ensembles such as the Brentano, Eben, Zemlinsky, Escher, and Szymanowski quartets. His chamber music partners include pianists Alexander Ghindin and Vyacheslav Gryaznov, violinists Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Andrej Bielow, and Valeriy Sokolov, cellists Lev Sivkov and Evgeny Rumyantsev, and clarinetist Patrick Messina.

Nikita Mndoyants is also recognized as an accomplished composer. His works for piano and chamber music are published by Composers, Muzyka, and Jurgenson, and have been performed by Alexander Vinnitsky, Alexander Rudin, Daniel Hope, Nicolas Stavy, the Szymanowski and Zemlinsky quartets, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, the Musica Viva Orchestra, among others.
