French of Lebanese and Mexican origin, Simon Ghraichy lived a cosmopolitan childhood before adopting Paris as his home. A student of Michel Béroff, Daria Hovora and Hortense Cartier-Bresson at the Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris CNSMDP, he continued his training with Tuija Hakkila at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. His virtuosity, clear-cut choices and his musical chameleonism have enabled him to develop an international career on all five continents.
He has performed in such prestigious venues as the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, the Paris, Berlin and St Petersburg Philharmonic, the Opéra Royal de Versailles, the Gran Teatro Nacional in Lima, the Teatro Mayor in Bogota, the Istanbul Opera, as well as in various venues in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Greece, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, Cuba, Chile, Brazil, Lebanon, Egypt and Australia…
