Ilya Gringolts captivates audiences with his virtuoso playing and refined interpretations, constantly seeking new musical challenges. As a highly sought-after soloist, he devotes himself to the great orchestral repertoire as well as contemporary and rare works, while also taking an interest in historical performance practices. His concert programs include virtuoso pieces from the early repertoire, such as those by Leclair and Locatelli, as well as works for solo violin and orchestra by Paganini. Many composers have written for him, including Chaya Czernowin, Lotta Wennäkoski, Mirela Ivicevic, Augusta Read Thomas, Beat Furrer, and Bernhard Lang.
