One year after commencing his studies at the Béla Bartók Conservatory in 2008 as a student of Mária Fekete, Zoltan became the first singer ever to win admittance to the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music’s special programme for young talents, where he studied under Éva Marton.

After graduating from the conservatory, he spent a year in The Hague at the Royal Conservatory, where his teacher was Gerda van Zelm. In 2014, he returned to continue his studies at the Liszt Academy, studying with Júlia Pászthy. Zoltan made his debut with the Hungarian State Opera in 2015 in the role of Blindleech in Zsófia Tallér’s opera, Leander and Linseed, as the youngest soloist of the Operahouse. The next season there, he sang his first title role, Orfeo (C. W. Gluck), at the age of 23. In 2018 he was invited to perform in the prestigious Grote Zangers Series in The Netherlands, where he gave a solo concert in the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ the same evening with Angelika Kirschlager and James Sherlock. From 2019 he spent a study year in the Sibelius Academy of Helsinki, where he specialized in Sibelius songs. In 2021 he sang the title role of Akhnaten in Philip Glass’s opera in the well received production of the Aleksanterin teatteri (Helsinki).
